Subway trash and carbon monoxide

Comics! Finally!

Comics have always been my first love, so this was a welcome distraction from the usual illustration work. This comic, “Cartoline Da New York,” is the second story I’ve been asked to do for Italian magazine Internazionale’s “Cartoline” section. It was originally published in Italian, but I’ve gone back and translated it into English again.

The title translates into “Postcards from New York.”

My previous comic, “Cartoline Da Los Angeles” has been up on the website for quite some time now, but only in it’s Italian published form. While I was working on the English version of “Cartoline da New York,” I figured I might as well translate this one too. Now, for better or for worse, it’s back in it’s original language for all to read and judge. Please be kind.

Immediately after the incident, I called my friend and fellow illustrator Jon Han.

Here’s what he had to say about it:

Hope you enjoyed that as much as I did. Getting mugged is great… inspiration.

You can skip to the end and leave a response. Pinging is currently not allowed.

These are great! Sorry you got mugged. Somehow this frightening story turned into a humorous one (they only got a dollar!) I really like the way you colour things. Please keep colouring things. If not, that’s ok too.

Thanks for the comments everyone! For those of you that were there before the mugging, don’t feel bad. In a fight, I’m even more useless when I’m sober.

Hey Nathan! Long time no talk. xD These are awesome…Hey it’s the curb in front of my house! :O I know those two, they always walk down our street with like metal poles banging the floor randomly. So weird, anyways. I think they got in trouble with the police one time, cause they were bothering people, so its all good. OFFICE IS AWESOME!! Okay, bye. :]
