Nilbog

This one was good fun.
The article, titled “Hurts So Good: Love and Bad Movies,” was about a couple and (wait for it…) their love for bad movies. Actually, it’s about one bad movie in particular called Troll 2, which is considered by many to be the worst movie ever made (in a good way).
By the title, you’d expect the movie to be the sequel to Troll 1, but it isn’t. In fact, there isn’t a single troll to be found. The plot involves a little Joshua Waits traveling with his somewhat kooky parents to a town called Nilbog, which happens to be populated by vegetarian goblins in disguise (Goblin… Nilbog… see what they did there?). Add in sinister green food, a grandfather ghost, a hot makeout scene involving corn on the cob, a horrible three-person rendition of “Row, Row, Row Your Boat,” and something about a triple decker baloney sandwich and you pretty much have complete nonsense. That, and comedy gold.
Okay, now that I’ve completely lost you, I’ll stop typing and just leave the rest to the visuals.

This turned out to be some of the most fun I’ve had on an illustration in a long time.
So bad. So good.

Due to the popularity of the last month’s podcast clip, I’ve decided to share an outtake from the session with the great Jon Han. Enjoy.
